With over 17 years of experience in visual arts and arts education, Jaffia has worked with art museums, community-based organizations, and schools in New York City and Atlanta. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from Florida State University, she has instructed artists of diverse ages, specializing in portfolio development for aspiring art and design students entering colleges, while also offering instructional courses and professional learning workshops for adults and educators. She is currently completing the RAISE (Responsive Arts in School Education) trauma-informed and culturally responsive-sustaining arts in education training through National Young Audiences.
