A collage of classroom scenes: children work on crafts inspired by ArtsNOW, play educational games, read assignments, collaborate in groups, and do a balance exercise; teachers and students interact in bright, lively classrooms.

ArtsNOW is honored to announce a renewed commitment from The Chestnut Family Foundation in the amount of $300,000 over the next three years to advance our ongoing partnership with Richmond County School System. This transformational investment allows ArtsNOW to continue expanding high-quality, arts-integrated learning experiences for students and educators across the district.

The Chestnut Family Foundation began in 2017, with a focus on improving the lives of children. Our work in Richmond County began in 2018 with the generous support of The Chestnut Family Foundation. Since then, we have collaborated closely with schools and district leaders to deliver professional learning, curriculum design, classroom residencies, and creative teaching strategies thanks to their generosity.

“This continued support is not only generous—it’s a powerful affirmation of the impact we’re making together,” said ArtsNOW President & CEO Pamela Walker. “This renewed commitment allows us to deepen our work in Richmond County and continue empowering educators with arts-integrated strategies that truly transform learning.”

This new three-year commitment deepens a shared vision between ArtsNOW and The Chestnut Family Foundation: that every student deserves access to innovative learning opportunities that spark creativity, build confidence, and foster academic success. We are grateful for the Foundation’s continued belief in our mission and look forward to the next chapter of impact in Richmond County classrooms.
