For educators: A complete pedagogical toolbox

ArtsNOW has developed a carefully structured arts-based pedagogy that promotes collaboration, creative and critical thinking and the ability to apply principles across different disciplines. We seek to build educators’ skills and confidence through professional development — and supply the resources to encourage integration of the arts across all grades, disciplines and content areas.

Lesson Guides

Educators are invited to explore the ArtsNOW library of lesson guides, including both integrated series and standalone guides for a variety of disciplines and grade levels. Each lesson guide features discussion questions and prompts involving real-world context, interdisciplinary concepts and much more.

Integrated Units/Multiple Related Lessons

This option features multiple units of learning designed as a series to be implemented over multiple days.

Guides/Single Lessons

These individual guides and lessons have been created as standalone units of learning.

Video Modules

ArtsNOW video modules provide convenient virtual lessons that can be accomplished in both remote and face-to-face classroom settings. Each module is accompanied by learning targets, essential questions, curriculum standards and arts standards, additional resources, extension activities and more.

“When our teachers learn how to use the resources, it’s like a light bulb goes on about arts education and how we can do this.” Educator and ArtsNOW liaison
