Shawn Williams is a former principal of an ArtsNow Teaching and Learning Laboratory School and currently serves as a principal in the Barrow County School System at the Center for Innovative Teaching (CFIT) leading the Arts and Innovation Magnet (AIM) program. As a principal, she has been instrumental in the implementation of school-wide arts integration efforts across Georgia including leading a Music in Education Learning Lab School. Her former school was the recipient of a Georgia Council for Arts grant where she served as the project director. During the 24 years of her educational career she has also taught 4th and 5th grade gifted students, 8th grade language arts, and served as an assistant principal. She is currently the President of the Georgia Association of Elementary Principals.
